5 Wonderfully Easy But Fun Thanksgiving Games For Kids

Get set for fun with these five Thanksgiving games that will keep kids happily entertained for hours.

    1. Pin the Pilgrim Hat on the Turkey

    • What You Need: The turkey poster and hat icons in the free printable. You will also need double-sided tape.
    • How to Play: This Thanksgiving twist on “Pin the Tail on the Donkey” has players blindfolded as they try to place a tail feather on the turkey. It’s a festive twist on a classic game that’s always a hit with kids!

    2. Pumpkin Bowling

    • What You Need: Mini pumpkins (for bowling balls) and plastic bottles (for pins).
    • How to Play: Set up a mini bowling alley with the bottles. Kids take turns rolling their pumpkins to knock down as many pins as possible. Keep score for an extra challenge, or let them play just for fun!

    3. Turkey Tag

    • What You Need: Print and cut out copies of the feather in the free printable. You will also need double-sided tape.
    • How to Play: Each child gets a paper feather taped to their back. The goal? To collect as many feathers from other players as possible by gently pulling them off. The one with the most feathers at the end wins!

    4. Thanksgiving Bingo

    • What You Need: Print out the set of Bingo cards and calling cards in the free printable.
    • How to Play: Pass out the Bingo cards and markers (beans, buttons, or candy work great or use the markers in the printable). Call out the items, and kids mark off their cards until someone yells “Bingo!”

    5. Pumpkin Piñata

    • What You Need: A pumpkin-shaped piñata like this one filled with treats or small toys.
    • How to Play: Hang up the piñata and let kids take turns trying to break it open to release the goodies inside. Make sure it’s hung at a safe height and use lightweight bats or sticks for safety.
