Tea Party Games For Tweens And Teens That Always Bring The Fun
Share
Afternoon tea parties are a great way to entertain a small bunch of tween or teen girls by way of a birthday celebration or just as a lovely way for friends to spend a few hours hanging out together.
Much as a table loaded with mouth wateringly good food and drink will always be at the heart of the event, tea party games bring the fun and get everyone chatting and really enjoying themselves.
Party Games That Bring The Fun To Tea
Here’s a few ideas for games that work well for teens at a tea party.
1. Charades
Get the party guests to act out different characters or objects for the other players to guess.
2. Pass The Parcel
This classic party game works really well for a group of guests sat around a table.
Fill each layer with a little treat and then have a cute gift in the middle - based on current trends, I'd go for a lip gloss or nail polish!
3. Selfie Scavenger Hunt
A Selfie Scavenger Hunt always goes down well with tweens and teens. Make a list of things for the party guests to take photos of.
The first person to snap them all wins.
You can find a ready made Selfie Scavenger Hunt game in our Tea Party Games Bundle For Tweens and Teens.
4. Tea Bag Toss
This is a Minute To Win It style game that's like a mini version of cornrow. Instead of beanbags, players take turns tossing tea bags into teacups.
Set up the teacups at one end of the table and have party guests stand at the other end, where each takes a turn tossing tea bags for 60 seconds.
5. Sugar Cube Challenge
Here's another Minute To Win It style game... load each party guest up with a bunch of sugar cubes.
Then each player must see how many cubes they can stack on each other before the stack falls down.
6. Word Games
Word games are a lovely, fun but chilled way to entertain a bunch of teens at afternoon tea. Here are a few games that always get the brain cells buzzing:
Word Scramble
Write out a bunch of anograms of words associated with afternoon tea parties and challenge the party guests to unscramble them.
New Little Words
Challenge the party guests to make as many little words from the phrase 'Afternoon Tea Party' as they possibly can in 60 seconds.
Cake Scattergories
Challenge everyone to find words in various categories starting with each letter of the word CAKE.
For example... a dessert, a celebrity, a city beginning with the letter C.
Want to make it easy on yourself to prepare these games? You can find all three word games, plus five other fun games, in the Tea Party Games Bundle For Tweens And Teens.
