As someone who's somewhat obsessed with finding great party games, I've utterly enjoyed putting together this collection of fun and sometimes hilarious games that are guaranteed to keep everyone entertained.
These Easter games are great for kids to play by themselves (well, with other kids!) but many of them are also totally enjoyable to play as a family, with kids of all ages!!
Some of the games are classic favourites with creative seaonal twists.
Meanwhile, some are newer ideas that'll have everyone bouncing like bunnies with egg-citement.

Easter This Or That
I love this game because it gets everyone chatting, even shy kids - perfect for breaking the ice!
- Number of players: 6-30
- What you need:
- Space with a center line
- This/That question list
- Masking tape
- Signs for each side
How to play:
- Mark room into two sides
- Read This/That question
- Players move to preferred side
- Discuss choices briefly
- Continue with new questions

Egg & Spoon Race
A classic that never fails to bring laughs and teach a few skills like balancing, patience and determination!
- Number of players: 4-20
- What you need:
- Plastic eggs (or real ones if you're brave!)
- Spoons (one per player)
- Marking tape or cones
- Optional: Cookie sheets for cleanup
How to play:
- Mark a start and finish line about 15-20 feet apart
- Give each player a spoon and egg
- Players must balance egg on spoon while walking/running
- If egg falls, player must return to start
- First to cross finish line with egg intact wins
Easter Egg Scavenger Hunt
Hide a series of Easter themed items around the home or party space ready to be hunted down and scavenged.
- Number of players: 1-20
- What you need:
- Easter themed items
- A list of the items for each player or team
- Pens for marking off the treasures
- A prize for the winning player or team
How to play:
- Hide the items
- Hand out the lists of items
- Set the players off on their hunt. You can set a time limit to make things tougher
- Award the prize to the winner/s

Bunny Hop Sack Race
Transform kids into jumping bunnies with this energetic race that'll have everyone hopping as fast as they can towards the finish line.
- Number of players: 2-12
- What you need:
- Burlap sacks or pillowcases
- Bunny ears (makes it extra festive!)
- Starting line markers
- First aid kit (just in case!)
How to play:
- Create clear start and finish lines
- Players step into sacks and pull up to waist
- On "hop," players jump toward finish line
- Must stay in sack entire time
- First to cross finish line wins
Pin the Tail on the Bunny
Just like its donkey cousin, but with a cute hoppy twist!
- Number of players: 2-15
- What you need:
- Large bunny poster
- Paper tails with adhesive
- Blindfold
- Name stickers for tails
How to play:
- Hang bunny poster at kid-height
- Mark a starting point 5-6 feet from poster
- Write names on tails
- Blindfold player and spin gently
- Guide toward poster for safety
- Closest tail to correct spot wins
Egg Rolling Contest
This one's a personal favourite I once had an egg do a perfect zigzag through the entire course! Ok, I might be stretching the truth here!
- Number of players: 2-10
- What you need:
- Plastic eggs
- Cardboard/pool noodles for track
- Timer
- Small prizes
How to play:
- Create a track with slight decline
- Players each get one egg
- Release eggs simultaneously
- First egg to finish wins
- Alternative: Time trials for single track
Easter Trivia
Turn knowledge into fun with Easter-themed questions that'll make kids think and giggle!
- Number of players: 4-20
- What you need:
- Easter trivia questions
- Score cards
- Small prizes
- Timer (optional)
How to play:
- Divide into teams if there's a large group of players
- Take turns asking questions

How to play:
- Partners face each other
- Start close together
- Toss egg back and forth
- Step back after each catch
- Last pair with unbroken egg wins
Easter Charades
Trust me, watching little kids act out "Easter Bunny eating carrots" is pure entertainment gold!
- Number of players: 4-20
- What you need:
- Easter-themed word cards
- Timer
- Score sheet
- Team markers/flags
How to play:
- Split into teams
- One player acts out Easter word
- No speaking or sound effects
- Team has 1 minute to guess
- Switch teams after each round
- First to preset score wins

Mini Egg Dice Game
This game might result in some seriously competitive candy counting (and eating)!

- Dice

- Bowl for each player
- Score sheet
How to play:
- Each player gets starting eggs
- Roll dice to determine actions
- Follow number guide for eggs
- Play until time runs out
- Player with most eggs wins
2. (Easter) Egg Russian Roulette
Stealing an idea straight from Jimmy Fallon, I've just added 'Easter' to the now infamous Egg Russian Roulette game! But hey, it's the perfect game of jeopardy for Easter fun!
This is a nerve-wracking (!) game of chance where players take a chance on egging themselves!!
- Number of players: 2+ players (in groups of 2 or in a circle)
- What you need:
- Enough eggs to keep the game going
- For every 12 eggs, 8 must be hard boiled and 4 left uncooked
How to play:
- Fill egg boxes with a mix of 8 hard boiled eggs and 4 uncooked eggs
- Players take turns to choose an egg and then whack it on their own head
- If it's hard boiled they won't be egged, but if it's uncooked.... egged!

Guess How Many Chocolate Eggs
What's more drool inspiring than a game that involves guessing the number of mini eggs in a jar?!
- Number of players: Unlimited
- What you need:
- Clear jar
- Chocolate mini eggs
- Entry slips or recording sheet
How to play:
- Fill jar with counted eggs (DON'T. FORGET. TO. COUNT. THEM!!)
- Each player writes guess on slip
- Collect all guesses
- Closest without going over wins
- Winner gets the jar!

Bunny Ears Ring Toss
Picture tiny ring masters trying to land rings on bunny ears - pure chaos and giggles guaranteed!

- What you need:
- Cardboard bunny head
- Hoop rings
- Score sheet
- Distance markers
How to play:
- Set up bunny target
- Mark throwing distances by age
- Each player gets 5 throws
- Points for ears landed on
- Highest score wins
Easter How Many Words
How many words games are one of those delightful games that keep kids brains ticking over nice and quietly, when you need a little bit of calm in the room.
The aim of the game is to make as many new words from an existing word or phrase as possible.
- Number of players: 2-15
- What you need:
- Paper and pencils
- Timer
- Easter phrase (like "Happy Easter Bunny")
- Dictionary for verification
How to play:
- Write Easter phrase on board
- Set timer for 3-5 minutes
- Create words using letters
- Compare and cross off duplicates
- Most valid words wins

How to play:
- Scatter eggs around play area

- Stop music, grab an egg
- Player without egg sits out
- Remove one egg each round
- Last player wins
