Vibe On! Easter Games For Teens
Right, let’s (bunny) hop right into the ideas!
1. Easter Egg Glow Hunt
Transform a traditional egg hunt into an eggstra-special afterdark hunt with glowing eggs that give a cool twist to a more traditional hunt.
This game works well indoors if you have enough space, but can equally work outdoors (weather dependent!).
- Number of players: 4+
- What you need: plastic eggs, mini glow sticks, mini prizes to stuff in the eggs or overall prizes , collection bags, a timer.
NB: If you don't already have plastic eggs, I've spotted you can buy sets of plastic eggs that come with mini glow sticks.
And yes, 'plastic' is not so good. But, if you buy a set and then use them several years, then pass them on or give then to charity, it's not so bad. Oh and I've got a couple more games that make use of plastic eggs below.
How to play:
- Place activated mini glow sticks inside eggs and seal them
- Set up black lights around space
- Hide eggs throughout area
- Create scoreboard with point values for different colors
- Divide into teams or play individually
- Set timer for 15 minutes (or however long you think based on size of space)
- Count points when timer ends
- Team with most points wins the prize*
The alternative to players competing for a single prize is to stuff mini prizes into the eggs.
The average plastic egg doesn't have much space, but single pieces of candy works well, or coins (but dollar bills tend to dim the glow).

2. (Easter) Egg Russian Roulette
Stealing an idea straight from Jimmy Fallon, I've just added 'Easter' to the now infamous Egg Russian Roulette game! But hey, it's the perfect game of jeopardy for Easter fun!
This is a nerve-wracking (!) game of chance where players take a chance on egging themselves!!
- Number of players: 2+ players (in groups of 2 or in a circle)
- What you need: Enough eggs to keep the game going. For every 12 eggs, 8 must be hard boiled and 4 left uncooked.
How to play:
- Fill egg boxes with a mix of 8 hard boiled eggs and 4 uncooked eggs
- Players take turns to choose an egg and then whack it on their own head
- If it's hard boiled they won't be egged, but if it's uncooked.... egged!
Here's a video of Jimmy Fallon in action:

- If nobody guesses correctly, the actor gets to keep the egg.
- At the end of the game, the person with the most eggs is the winner and gets a prize.
8. Easter Egg Solo Cup Pass
Now, I admit this sounds like the dullest game on earth, but it's actually one that has contestants shaking with nerves as they try to win.
This is a group game where the aim is to pass an egg down a team of players on the bottom of up turned Solo red party cups (or similar cups of your choice!).
You can choose to go easy on the teams by giving them boiled eggs, or make life more challenging by giving them uncooked eggs.
- Number of players: 8+
- What you need: Enough Solo cups for each player, enough eggs for each team to have a egg to pass and some back-up eggs, a timer
How to play:
- Divide everyone up into teams of players and have them stand in lines
- Give each team an egg and each player a cup
- On the starters command each team must start passing the egg down their team line, using only the bottom of the cup
- If an egg is dropped, players must start again from the beginning
- First team to get their egg to the end of the line wins.
I got this game idea from Shawn M Howell's video featuring ten games for people of all ages:

10. Easter Egg Nose Race
This is one of those super simple games that gives so much in terms of competition and laughter.
It involves players competing against each other to push eggs with their noses down a race course.
- Number of players: 4+
